You Never Know Who's Watching...

I haven't blogged in quite some time.

I've been busy living life and adjusting to my new normal.

Even though I'm not quite sure what that is yet.

I started a new chemotherapy in March that has worked wonders for my ability to function day to day, yet my inflammation markers continue to climb up and up.

Today's actually the crappiest I've felt in quite some time, but I'm hoping its just a result of over doing it. I do that a lot, still. Learning new limits is hard.

I got a long awaited tattoo.

Did some fishing with my husband.

Static

Things are really rough for me right now. My doctors have me tapering down off of steroids so they can see what symptoms all flare up exactly. They're hoping to figure out if I possibly have systemic vasculitis, and how to treat me well enough that I don't need steroids to function. While they're great for calming down a messed up immune system; steroids are really bad for you and come with a myriad of side effects such as thinning bones, muscle wasting, organ damage, and weight gain.

I dropped to 10mgs, my lowest tolerance on Monday, and by Wednesday I could feel everything start to flare up. My entire existence hurts. I emailed my doctor and let her know that things were flaring up already and she messaged me back that she put in a standing lab order to evaluate my inflammation markers that she'd like me to get done weekly before our Monday follow-ups on my taper. I got it done today in hopes that she'd have it in time for our appointment Monday morning. Within a few hours she emailed me, lab results were back already. My inflammation markers almost doubled within a few days. Higher than they've tested in months. I expressed that not only was I not kidding about feeling like shit already, but that I was quite serious about not being able to get under 10mgs of Prednisone. While she said she didn't doubt me (she yells at me for under exaggerating), having the frequent labs to track the process for Jefferson makes it even better.

It's a Good Day for a Nap...

Chris is off to work already today. He had less than eight hours between his shifts. He didn't get much sleep, and I got even less sleep.

There's a serious nap in my future.

Started off the day straightening up around the house. I lost my balance picking up laundry and tipped over onto my ass. Chris heard the thud and asked if I was okay. The only thing really hurt being my pride I told him I was, but that he needed to get up and get ready for work. I'm pretty sure he wound up being a few minutes late, but in all fairness no one should really be scheduled like that.

Daisy and Tuxington are already settled in on the couch napping together. Daisy's snoring away. They're so stinking cute. But it just makes me want to settle in for a nap all the more.

Secret Santa

As many of you know, I spent a few years volunteering undercover to help with pedophile stings. It was really rewarding work. I miss it. I met some amazing people and travelled to some cool places along the way. I kept in touch with many of the people I worked with, and some of them are some of the best friends I have. Sadly they all live ridiculously far away. Most years we do a Secret Santa of some sort. I always participate because I have a serious Christmas problem.
My gift arrived from Rita today, and it was huge! The paper was so adorable. Once I realized just how many presents were inside I decided I had to go sit down to open it, and took it into the other room, haha. She had a really nice pet bed inside the box which I took out first, took the tags off and taped the washing instructions to the cardboard tag and put it with my manuals. I'm OCD like that. I have a bad memory, but I have a system of where to put things, and where to find instructions for things! Haha. It works pretty good most of the time. Daisy immediately investigated it when I put it down. Tux was busy playing in the box as I unwrapped things.

Acceptance

Chris and I stayed up until about 4am. I kicked his butt at Exploding Kittens. The bottle of Moscato I picked out was really good. Silly us, we didn't have a corkscrew! Luckily my grandparents did. Shows how often we drink. We stayed cuddled up in bed until around lunchtime, and then got up and ran out to the store for a few supplies.

I made pollo guisado today! We decided that would be our New Year tradition. It got pretty good. Chris demolished his plate of food. I didn't really make any resolutions per say this year. New Year's resolutions can be a great way/starting point for major life changes, but at this point I don't have anything drastic I need to work on every day of the year except being happy, and trying to serve the happiness of my life, home, and relationships as best as I can. I mean sure, I could resolve to lose weight or something cliche like that, but I think that's best done in lifestyle changes, and I'm fighting an uphill battle with steroids on that one. So, I guess at the end of all this blabbering, I just resolve to do the best I can at living as long and well as I can.

To Drown a Fish...

Got my Christmas presents from Chris in the mail yesterday. So far i've only opened Exploding Kittens, but it looks really fun. I can't wait to play it with Chris later.

Speaking of animals and Christmas, I never did mention what we got the critters.

Funds were tight, so we couldn't get the animals much. We got Daisy a big bag of peanut butter dog treats. She loves her some peanut butter. They almost look like Nutter Butters. Her cookie jar was getting low. Now it's full to the top again.

We got Tux one of those fishing pole type cat toys. He could chase whatever's on the end of that string all day. He gets so tired out eventually because he tries so hard. Eventually I just let it lay on the floor and he'll entertain himself with it. This one has a fish on the end, and for some reason he keeps putting it in their water dish. At first I thought he did it on accident, and I took it out and let it dry, but he keeps doing it. It's kind of gross. I'm not sure if he's trying to drown it or what.

One of the things I got Chris for Christmas is a fidget tactile toy. It's great for stress, anxiety, and quitting smoking. I really like it too, it's hard not to steal from him. I generally have a hairband around my wrist to fidget with, but this is far superior. I've been looking at them on Amazon and already have planned to get a few more. They're really cool and work really well. The one I got him is something like this if you're interested.

The first night we had it he was playing with it most of the night, and then left it in his pants' pocket. Daisy of course fished it out and used it as a chew toy. It's a simlar texture as some of her toys. She broke about three links on it, but luckily it snaps apart so it wasn't too hard to fix. Chris was heart broken at first because he thought it was ruined already. They're really affordable, and there's lots of variations of tactile, stress, and fidget toys available online. They work wonders for anxiety, seriously. Check them out.

Kitty Convict

Daisy and Tux are great at stealing my seat.

And Chris' seat.

Any seat really.

They run the house.

Tux's new collar came in the mail today. He's now part of the Kitty Convict project.

It runs on the basic idea that when people see cats outside they just assume they are outside cats, rather than considering that they might belong in someone's home. Instead, you pop an orange collar on your cat signaling that if someone sees them outside they are in fact an escaped convict and should be returned home. I had to take the bell off of Tux's collar or he would have gone on a murder spree. I also ordered an engraved tag for on his collar and it only had three lines of engraving rather than four. So I had to email Amazon about that. It looks pretty handsome on him, but he just refuses to stay still long enough today for a proper picture.

Today has flown by. I can't believe it's less than four hours until Chris is done at work. It's finally warming up in here, but all that's doing is making me want to take a nap.

If you want to see the wedding pictures you can check them out on Tania's blog: here!

Dousy!

This blog is going to be a dousy indeed. I've realized I have many pictures to share! It look so long to upload them all. Our internet has been weird lately. We upgraded to a faster speed, yet it seems to be slower than what it was before. I need to check it and talk to Frontier about it.

This blog was going to be written last night, but do you know what happened while I was uploading the photos? Yeah, I fell asleep.

Then, it was going to be written earlier this morning. I got all cozy, opened up the website and fell asleep.

It's a problem. This time I am armed with coffee. Do something now autoimmune fatigue! Actually, please don't. You're probably resilient against caffeine.

Over the course of a week or so I got all of our Christmas decorating finished. It seems I haven't taken pictures of the outside yet. I've learned the key to doing things is moderation, taking breaks, and not trying to conquer the world all in one day. I take on all my daily chores throughout the day, and add some type of project in on top of it usually. I spent about three days on my bathroom project rather than hammering it all out in one day and exhausting myself.

By taking my time and doing it in spurts our Christmas decorating got nice rather than rushed by pain etc.

I spent a lot of time on our windows. Most of them aren't too hard for me, but the lower ones are. It didn't help that while I was crouched down doing the lower ones Tuxington decided to ride me like a pony and refused to get off.

I'm Back!

Finally back to blog-land. I've been a busy girl. We've been redecorating our apartment thanks to some starter surprise help from our family while we were on our honeymoon. They painted our bedroom 'bridal flower' (light lavender) for us. It was a major project on my 'to do' list, so it was a nice surprise. Our wedding ceremony was fantastic! I'll share some details and pics as time goes on, so stay tuned!

Chris starts his new job today which we've both been eagerly awaiting. He's been unemployed since my near-death/blood clot experience. The time with him has been a valuable gift, but finances have become uncomfortable. Weddings aren't cheap and what not. And my disability claim is a hope, a prayer, and light years away from being approved yet. Bah. Blows my mind that it's so difficult considering MS is on the governments list of qualifying disabilities. A little less than ten hours still until Chris is back home and I've already finished all my basic chores for the day except taking the recycling out when it's light. Good thing I have a long project list and Netflix queue.

I've yelled "Tuxington!!!!" about twelve times today already, starting with when I went out to set the GPS in the car for Chris. He's not good with the GPS and he has to go over an hour away to a different store to get hired in. Thank goodness he doesn't have to work at that one daily. Anyways, I went to put my shoe on and he put a PIN in my shoe from my jewelry case. He has this obsession with putting sparkly shit in my shoes. Ow. He's like a spoiled toddler when Daddy's not home. You know what they say.."when the cat's away..." wait...that's not right. You get the drift though.

I slept for shit last night. My brain doesn't adjust well to scheduled sleeping. It's more of a 'let's stay up until we pass out' fan. Now that I'm back on Tysabri I at least can sleep again, but depending I still don't sleep all that well. I've debated going back to bed for awhile, but I'm worried that will just set me up for failure when it comes time to sleep with Chris again later.

So, instead here I am! Debating what is next. I'd love to brew a coffee to up my current motivation level, but much to my dismay my Keurig took a crap. I monkeyed around with it for a bit, but considering I've had the thing for about five or six years I'm pretty sure it surrendered. Apparently Bed Bath & Beyond gives you credit on a trade in of your old/broken one towards a new one. Valuable information that was. So I think I'll box it up until the time comes we can afford a new one and keep an eye out for coupons. I have some powdered cappuccino nonsense in my cabinet I may boil some milk for and try. Desperate times and what not.

The growing readership of this blog is pretty exciting. It's cool to see my Adsense income jump from pennies to dollars. Being able to contribute to the home in even a small way is nice. Especially by doing something I enjoy.

I believe I shall finish tackling my kitchen organization today. I started it with Chris the other day. Pulled a ton of things out for yard sale. I mean, it's just the two of us and we easily had fifty cups. Granted they were varying types of cups, but still excessive. I have this new found giant collection of tupperware I needed to find a home for as well. My upper cabinets are impeccably organized now, but I still need to do my lower cabinets and pantry. That'll kill some serious time. The upper cabinets were pretty much an all day project, and that was with help.

I trimmed Daisy's toenails the other night, and surprisingly enough Tux let me trim his last night. He's a good cat. I used to be convinced they were murderous beasts, but he's definitely changed my opinion. He's still a bastard though. Time to take on the day!

Five Days!

Today was crazy and zipped by so quick.

I got up and worked on chores. Got a bunch of pictures uploaded to our account on the WedPics app. Chris went out with his brother Clyde to see his new house.

Janelle and Clyde came back with Chris afterwards and hung out at our house for awhile and chatted. They're going to take part in the hand fasting ceremony at our wedding so we were explaining that to them and catching up since it's been awhile. Chris also asked Clyde to be one of his groomsmen. He wanted to ask him months ago but they lost contact for awhile. It's a bit last minute to work out, but at least the groomsmen don't need to know anything too complicated for at the wedding.

Tuxcasso?

I managed some determination to at least get the dishes done last night, and Chris was kind enough to cook dinner. Now of course, it looks like I did no dishes. I got a whole lot of nothing done yesterday. Today seems a bit more promising, but I'm still not back to what I usually do in a day.

Relaxing when I feel like garbage is really hard for me. I feel like I need to tough through it. Show the disease who's boss! All that really does though is make me feel like garbage for even longer. When I just rest though I wind up getting anxious about all the things that aren't getting done that are going to pile up into a monstrous disaster.
Chris is really great about helping me with things that I need done. When it comes to regular chores though he's the King of 'It can wait till later'. He doesn't understand how the piling recycling, dishes, and laundry lying about cause me anxiety. Things are easier for me to accomplish in small doses. Mountains of shit to do all at once make me sad. So as I watch them turn into mountains it makes me anxious.
But I'm trying to let it go until I feel back to normal. Trying.

White Flag

Tux is extremely talkative today.

He's usually only this talkative when he wants something, but he has all the basics so I'm not sure what he's up to.

He was laying on top of Daisy earlier giving her a bath. It was adorable, and in his defense she really does need one.

I woke up this morning feeling awful. I've been down to 10mgs of steroids for a little over a week now and I assumed it would get better with time. Instead though it's getting worse.

My joints were all ridiculously stiff and painful this morning, and it's not letting up. I don't want to feel like crap for our wedding and honeymoon so I surrendered and went back to 15mgs.

Honestly, feeling like this makes me worry how I'm ever going to tolerate totally getting off of them. Which sucks, because I really want to.

The way I'm feeling today not much is going to get accomplished.

Off-Balance

Today's been a busy day. Started it off putting my beef in the crock pot. I used a Hawaiian BBQ sauce, half a can of Pepsi, salt, and pepper. I put it on low for eight hours. I'm hoping it gets good because we've never used this flavor of BBQ before, and when I opened it later to check on it the BBQ smelled questionable. We'll see.

Tux created yet another disastrous mess out of his litter today. On the suggestion of a friend I removed the liner from his litter pan. Hoping that makes a difference. Otherwise I may need to go out and purchase a different style box.

We got our wedding programs back, cut, from my grandmother's brother. They look nice. I'm pretty proud of them. They took me awhile, but saved us some money.

Imaginary Arguments

Today was my neurology appointment. Somehow we overslept and were almost late. Luckily my grandmother called and woke us up at about twenty of ten. My appointment was for ten. I never got dressed so quick. I'm not sure if I turned off the alarm and just don't remember it, or if the batteries are dying on the clock and it never actually beeped.

We got there on time though. My neurologist was running late though as usual. Where his office is positioned it's a decent walk and my ankle was killing me the entire time. Later when I came home I discovered I forgot to take my meds last night before bed. That'll do it. I've been really bad with that lately, especially my blood thinner injections. I need to do better. Chris used to be really good about reminding me which was helpful. I need to set an alarm on my tablet for it or something.

Moon Face

Chris and I worked on our wedding programs tonight. I somehow only got enough card stock to make eighty, so I'm going to have to get another pack and do some more tomorrow.

I was glad when we were done with this batch. Even with Chris' help it was time consuming, monotonous, and tiring. I did a couple on my own while he downloaded a free Frozen game on the Xbox One for me. It's something like Bejeweled. It's pretty cool. Then he started putting them together and I lined up the pages and stapled. They still need to be cut down to size.

Daisy kept climbing onto Chris' shoulder like a parrot while we were trying to work. Then her and Tux kept making themselves comfy on our page piles.

It wasn't exactly helpful.

It's 11pm and we have yet to make a meal today. We snacked on some chips earlier, but that's been it. The days are going by too fast lately. Way too much to get done.

I've been tapering down on steroids too which I think has been playing with my appetite. A little over a month ago I was up to 60mgs, and I'm down to 10mgs. My joints aren't very thrilled, but I'm determined to get off of it this time. Probably not going to drop below ten until after the wedding though. I don't want to risk feeling crappy for the wedding.

I've learned from all of the times I tried and failed at getting off Prednisone that you must do it slowly.

While Prednisone does a great job at covering up some of the symptoms from my diseases, the Cushing's Syndrome side effects got to go.

My vision's been pretty bad off and on the past few days. Worried my MS is misbehaving with the lower dose of steroids. Hopefully it will calm down. The Xeljanz seems to be working surprisingly well for my joints this time around. Soon time for another dose of Tysabri already.

It's amazing how understanding Chris is with all of it.

I suppose I better figure out something for us to eat before I fall asleep! Haha. Tomorrow shouldn't be super busy, but Thursday we have a lot going on.

Meatloaf

Today's been stressful. I'm not even entirely sure why. Chris is all stressed out too. Ever have one of those days where stress is just in the air for no particular reason?

I'm one of those people that cleans when I'm stressed out. I'm not entirely sure why. It's just what I do. Normally I focus on one area or room, but my organizing today was super scatter brained. I did some in the bedroom, TV room, and kitchen. All impressive improvements which is nice. At least my anxiety is productive.

Got my wedding program ready to give to my grandmother's brother. He was going to print them for us since he owns a print shop. I just found out he can only do black & white. So much for that. So we ran out to Wally World and got paper, a new stapler, and staples. My printer is currently getting one hell of a work out, and then I'm going to work on putting these puppies together. I'm already sad for my hands.

Tux has been super energetic today. Dashing from one room to another. Mostly inspired by a fly he's been fascinated with. Anyone know why cats make clicky noises at bugs? Is it like dolphin sonar for cats?

I wish I had half of the energy he does. He's currently being a meatloaf cat. Sometimes when he sits somewhere and he's annoyed he looks like a pan of meatloaf. It's pretty amusing.

Time to stop procrastinating and get these programs done. If I don't blog for a few days the pile has taken me captive.

Money to Burn

Today is a serious lazy day for me. It was one of the rare days that Chris got out of bed before I did. It took much coaxing for him to get me out of bed.

I was not interested in doing the adulting today. I got up though eventually after some prodding from Chris.

Shortly after I got out of bed Chris' Mom stopped by for a visit and to drop off my bridal shower gift. She hurt her shoulder at work and couldn't make the shower. She got me a really pretty sterling silver decorative plate and a gift card for Cracker Barrel that Chris will probably commandeer for pancakes. (Pancakes actually sound pretty good right now, with chocolate and peanut butter chips. Mmm... Ihop.)

Off topic: I rarely partake in peanut butter or peanuts anymore after learning that peanuts aren't the greatest for inflammation and joints. I try not to add insult to injury when I can.

On an amusing note, the card she got me is adorable, and it's also the third time I've received this same card. We had a good laugh over it.

Chris and I gave her the gifts we got for her for helping with the wedding and we all hung out and chatted for a bit. Chris got to show off his learned skill of giving me injections. I think he was a bit proud. Tux is quite a fan of Maggie. (Maggie being Chris' Mom for those of you in the audience that don't know)

My garters for the wedding came in the mail today and they're really pretty. I'm glad they came already. Shipping/turnaround time listed on the website I ordered them from was vexingly long, and I was a bit concerned I would not get it in time, but voila!

We ran out to CVS to pick up my prescriptions so that I can fill my ridiculous pill case for the week. I was out of a few.

In the car on the way to CVS I discovered I had been wearing my shirt backwards all day. Luckily all day hadn't been very long yet at that point, and the only people who could have noticed were Chris and his Mom.

Our local CVS is remodeling. They switched sides for pickup/drop off at the pharmacy counter. Being the creature of habit I am it throws me off every single time I go in there now. CVS is one of my favorite stores to shop in. I always do well there savings wise. They have a bit of everything and frequently freshen up their inventory with new items. So, we generally mosey around and look at what's new while we're waiting on my scripts. Today they had a GIANT stuffed Minnie and Mickey mouse, for $69.99 each. Crazy. I can't picture ever spending that much money on a stuffed animal, even if I had money to burn.

I can't really picture anyone that goes into CVS having $70 to burn on a stuffed Minnie Mouse. But hey, what do I know? Clearly their marketing department is onto something I'm missing.

We then went to Wendys to get foods because I was starving after last nights cooking fail, didn't much feel like cooking yet again, and my Aunt gave us a gift card for there at my bridal shower.

Chris took a detour to Hamburg Redners on the way to Wendys to get his Java Monster he's very much addicted to. Hamburg Redners just got added onto the list of local places that are sold out of them. Probably solely because of him. Oddly enough, their Coca Cola Machine was standing open, completely empty, with not a vendor in site. I was going to take a picture for your viewing pleasure, but we went out without any electronics. So you'll have to take my word for it. It was strange.

So now we're home gorging on chicken nuggets whilst being guilt tripped by Daisy. I believe she's guilted us out of three so far. It's a nice brisk fall day here so I believe I may attempt roasting the chestnuts that we got at the farmers market later.

'Someone With a Lot of Nerve'

We got lots accomplished today!

The day started out with Tux being an exceptional bastard. Most nights he curls up at the bottom of the bed with Daisy. Last night though he decided he wanted to sleep with me. He's always incredibly rude about sleeping with me, and generally picks one of the positions below. He tends to prefer the 'scarf' or 'someone with a lot of nerve' position.

So I get up to face the day, and stumble upon this:

Shoe insoles scattered randomly. Tux has been busy. He has an obsession with shoes, especially putting his toys into shoes.

So Chris and I are planning our day and Tux begins this nonsense. He's obsessed with something on this wall that apparently only he can see. Thus begins the chirping, clicking, tail twitching.

He eventually gave up.

Meanwhile Chris is chilling with Daisy, who is not mildly psychotic.

I did some chores around the house and got the program for the wedding almost complete. Followed up on some RSVPs, scheduled the rehearsal dinner.

Our engagement pictures are on Monday, so we ran out to get prettified. Chris got a haircut. I got my eyebrows waxed and nails done. Bin at Spa Massage in Wyomissing did my nails, and he did a pretty good job. I really love the cute little design he did on my ring fingers.

Chris was quite the gentleman and patiently sat with me the entire time at the salon. How many men do that? They kept trying to give him a mani/pedi. Good luck to them at getting him to put his monkey ballern game down long enough for a manicure. Maybe they could have talked him into a pedicure.

I tried to talk him into an eyebrow waxing. Apparently he's had it done before and it was 'like getting punched in the face'. Men. I don't think they're that bad at all. (Men or eyebrow waxing that is.)

I was surprised to see they do Brazilian waxes there. While I don't have much modesty left, I really can't see myself walking in somewhere and asking them to please wax my vag. I have a hard enough time usually just communicating at a salon what I want done with my nails. I can't imagine how awkward that conversation would go.

I see what they did there.

Planning on making a version of egg-stuffed baked potatoes for dinner tonight. Here's a good recipe to follow to make them:

I'm hoping they get good. We have some leftover pizza in the fridge to take care of, but I'm pizza'd out. Pretty sure Chris could eat it every day.

Not entirely sure what the weekend holds for us yet. Some chores, wedding stuff, but other than that I think it'll be pretty quiet. Get some of our Netflix queue taken care of. Excited for our engagement photos on Monday! Can't believe Halloween is almost here. Really can't believe it's only 29 more days until our wedding!

Long time, no blog!

It has been quite some time since I posted a blog. I just recently realized how much I missed it, and what a tool it could be for reaching out to others. Life has changed a great deal since I last blogged. While I won't recap the past two years in a long daunting post, I'll give you the highlights, and work some of the details in in bits and pieces of future posts.

I've been diagnosed with an asinine immune system. Okay, so that's not really a diagnosis, but it's the basic gist. After a ton of trial and error with treatments and a near death experience I'm going to Jefferson University Hospital now to work on figuring things out.
Current diagnosis is Multiple Sclerosis and Rheumatoid Arthritis.
The MS diagnosis made a lot of weird things my body was doing finally make sense. My brain is a hot mess. At least now that I know why certain things are happening I can cope with them more appropriately. I plan on sharing my battle with chronic illness in intimate detail with you all in hopes of connecting with others going through it.

My weekly nightmare of filling meds!

In happy and exciting news, I'm engaged!
I know, I can hardly believe it either. Haha. I'm getting married in less than a month.
Crunch time is on. I'm actually going for my billionth dress fitting in a few hours.

Hard to believe I get to marry this sexy beast, if he doesn't murder me later for using this picture.

Another addition to our little family is a cat we adopted, Tux. My fiance is a cat person and Daisy's vet was fostering him. One thing led to another, and now I have a biscuit maker in my house. He is rather adorable though.

And a bit crazy, but he fits in well. I thought I was extremely clever when I named him Tux. Turns out he's actually a Tuxedo cat. Not so clever, but still fitting.

Daisy is as adorable and spoiled as ever. She's quite in love with the cat. They have regular hardcore wrestling matches in the kitchen.

So, there's a taste of what's going on in my life and what you can expect to be reading about in the future. For now, I'm going to curl back up with this incredibly hot man that I somehow have in my bed and my furry family for a few extra minutes of shut eye before I have to go play dress up.

Meat Pies

There's a tiny grocery store opened up by a farm in Shoemakersville. Right now it's so small and tiny it hasn't even made it's way into Google search results. So much so that Google literally has no results. Something I'm pretty sure I've never seen in my life.

Besides that oddity, this place by far has the best chocolate milk ever. Albeit a bit expensive.

Beyond the chocolate milk it's packed with lots of farm fresh and homemade baked and canned goods. They're always getting something new.

I don't mind the price because well, it's fresh! Fresh generally means healthier and better tasting. In every case I've tried so far there this has been true.

This place has this ridiculous giant plastic cow outside though. This thing annoys me. I don't know why they just don't get a real cow if they want to attract people. At least you can do something with a real cow.

This thing has annoyed me to the point that annoying me with it has become a running good time. Hence this now framed picture I possess.

This cow recently disappeared from the corner which raised much suspicion. I went in the other day with my grandmother. Turned out they moved the cow inside. My grandmother wasn't paying attention, turned around and noticed the cow, and screamed bloody murder. It was hilarious considering there was more people in the store then I've ever seen.

I got a meat pie there the other day. It's beef. I've never been a huge fan of meat pies, but they have a ton of varieties, even sausage. I found it intriguing.

I haven't used my oven since I've been home from the nursing home. Hell, I barely got a chance to use my oven at all since I bought it. $16 in food stamps doesn't go very far.

Damn accident.

With the whole pain thing I've been having a hell of a time sleeping lately. Last night I finally fell asleep around 6am. I didn't crawl out of bed until a little before 1pm. My grandparents are involved in some ridiculous ancient TV show to the point I was hung up on mid-sentence. So I figured what better day to make my meat pie and watch some movies and be lazy.

Well, when you don't use some things for awhile your fluidity suffers. Such as, I forgot that even though when remodeling my kitchen I fixed the magnet on my one cabinet door; I never did get the chance to remove the baby lock thing I had been using. I went to whip open the cabinet and it almost took my arm off from the elbow down with it. Minor issue.

I get my pie on the tray and ready to put in and realize I forgot to preheat. Damn it. This oven is also very new, and I've used it very few times. I also forgot how to use it. There's a lot of buttons. I figured it out in minimal time though.

So then, the waiting. It's pretty cold in my house so it seemed to take exceptionally long to preheat.

I suck exceptionally badly at standing. Especially when I just wake up. I don't balance properly between hips and wind up making one of them hurt, or a foot fall asleep.

I dabbled around and made coffee and things to try to keep moving to avoid pain, and finally it beeped. By this time Daisy is beside herself.

I forgot that since I've never used my oven since my accident; that means she has never seen an oven in use.

I put in my pie, set the timer and went begrudgingly up the steps to get ready to watch movies all day.

Meanwhile Daisy is running back and forth between me and the oven beside herself.

It lights up! It makes noises! It gets hot! OMG it's a sleeper beast!

Seriously, she was that upset.

She has hence calmed down and is somewhere under my blankets asleep.

Pictures later of the meat pie, and some movie reviews!
