Thanksgiving!

Someone thinks they're clever and put a chick peas cartoon on our fridge. (Why does fridge have a 'd', but refrigerator does not?) This is a testament to my observation skills (lack thereof). I have no idea how long this has been here, hah! But now I want more chick peas. If you missed my blog on chick peas you can read about them here.

Got my Thanksgiving decorating done, almost!

It looks pretty good if I do say so myself. I have a ton of the old fashioned cardboard cutout decorations that used to be my Mom's. They're cute. I found some suction cups with hooks to put them on my windows. I hate to ruin them with tape.

Looking at these pictures though sort of makes me want to flip the Indian and the turkey around so they're looking at each other. OCD!

Thanksgiving window clings are actually few and far between. It doesn't seem like that many people go all out for Thanksgiving anymore.

I love Thanksgiving. I'm a sucker for holidays and family events. Family and food? Sign me up.

We scrounged together what we could find this year though, and I set up a system in my closet to keep my holiday decorations organized, and actually save my window clings year to year, so hopefully over time I can build up some Thanksgiving ones to properly decorate.

I'm pretty satisfied with how our front door came out.

I was excited to find a hanging scarecrow to put from our front gutter. I need to actually get him out there. I need to find my cord string.

Tux is already busy sabotaging my kitchen table. I swear I fix these covers and place mats twenty times a day.

I'm not sure what we're doing for Thanksgiving yet this year. Generally one of my relatives hosts it; I'm just not sure who that's going to be. I think everyone's been pretty distracted by the wedding because no one else seems to know whom it's going to be either. It'll be our first holiday together as a married couple! I'm so excited to spend the rest of my life making memories with him. <3

Our Internet keeps phasing in and out today for some reason. Frontier's internet has been super annoying lately. They're generally really reliable. Not so much on the higher speeds it seems.

I just saw today that Grumpy Cat is getting a Little Golden Book! I'm so excited. I love both Grumpy Cat and Little Golden Books which is easy to tell if you take a look at my book case.

I must get this.

I'm really a simple girl to please.

I said to both Chris and my Mom today that I feel like getting ready for the wedding is also prepping me to be a proper 1950's house wife. I'm learning all types of things I didn't know before about cosmetics, tips for skin and hair care. Getting spa treatments, domestic supplies. Chris has it rough I tell ya. Hahah.

Excited to get our first set of engagement pictures that we chose from Tania tonight, and pick out our extras.

I can't believe how quickly today is flying by. It's almost 4pm already and we still haven't eaten today even. Chris is starting to get hangry as he occasionally looks up at the clock in between Fallout 3. I was going to be a bit experimental for our dinner tonight, but we're suddenly both craving haluski, so my experiment with cabbage will have to wait for another day. I can't believe today's Wednesday already; I thought it was Tuesday. My Mom was all 'Dress fitting tomorrowwwww!' And I was all oh I thought that was Thursday? And she was all 'It issss!'. And I was all, well shit.
